Dreamwell Health Program
I. Program Description
Through 2024, Wellness-land Health Institute is launching a sleep health program specifically designed to bring awareness and the possible methodologies in bringing optimal sleep to those experiencing sleep deprivation due to work and health issues that lead to high stress, insomnia and other health concerns related to sleep-wake cycle disruption.
R.E.M. stands for rapid eye movement, a stage in sleep that occurs several times a night, when dreaming most often occurs. In this stage, metabolism, immunity and the healing process is heightened, rejuvenating the mind and body by helping the sleeper to activate important functions of the autonomic nervous system and the endocrine system which depends on healthy circadian rhythmicity.
For over ten years, Dr. Romy Paredes and Pi Villaraza have explored and researched on the above topics, starting with the book Transformation Medicine which was published in 2013. This current program is borne out of the decade- long conversation between doctors and healers interested in self-facilitated and non-invasive practices that can be accessible to many.
The Program is process-oriented and research-based. Participants will take part in workshops and courses that prepare them to facilitate themselves at home. The program will harvest important quantitative and qualitative dream feedback which eventually helps bring awareness to what areas of life can be adjusted to reach maximal health.
II. Who and What is it for:
- Patients interested in non-invasive pain management, medium-term recovery and general healing processes
